Year 6 have had some very special visitors this week. Zoolab have visited with a range of rainforest animals that have helped us learn about how living things adapt and evolve in their environment. We have learned about how we can classify animals and how the rainforest is made up of lots of different habitats.
More photos in the Y6 Gallery.
Children were treated to a zoom call with Cressida Cowell. Cressida has written lots of very popular children's books including the wonderful 'How to train your dragon' series. We got to learn about what inspired her to become a writer and gained some top tips for writing. We also learned about her new books which we are looking forward to see in our library.
Reminder.
The Sports Hall was perfectly cool to enjoy our last Now Press Play experience of the year.
Thank you Mrs Laird. The ice pops were just what we needed.
Bins are out from tomorrow morning for any items of uniform that you may wish to donate.
Y4 loved the visit from Historian John last week.
Due to the hot weather, 4S decided to continue with games inside with some fun yoga!
We have a number of children bringing fidget magnets to school, like the ones in the photograph. We do not allow magnets and please ask that you make sure your child does not bring one to school. Thank you.
The children in 4G designed their own experiments to investigate changes in volume.
