Welcome to Driffield Junior School

Our school works on the key principles of CaringLearningSharing - Success for All.  We believe that abiding by these principles allows everyone in our school environment to feel happy and safe, and as a result to have a successful school life.

We believe in developing our partnerships with parents, carers and governors and we want you to join us in ensuring our school delivers the best education it possibly can to allow all of the children that come here the opportunity to learn and achieve as highly as possible.

Please take the opportunity to explore our website and see some of the exciting things the staff and children in school are working on currently. If there are any questions or queries that you cannot find answers to here then please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Year 6 have had some very special visitors this week. Zoolab have visited with a range of rainforest animals that have helped us learn about how living things adapt and evolve in their environment. We have learned about how we can classify animals and how the rainforest is made up of lots of different habitats.

Children were treated to a zoom call with Cressida Cowell. Cressida has written lots of very popular children's books including the wonderful 'How to train your dragon' series. We got to learn about what inspired her to become a writer and gained some top tips for writing. We also learned about her new books which we are looking forward to see in our library.
